Default NOS ZL1 Cam

I am looking at an NOS ZL1 cam. The GM tube is dated 1971 and the part number 3959180 along with ZL1 2nd Design is written on the tube. The cam looks original and new but the number on the end of the cam is 8911 which from what I read on the internet, it is an L88 cam, not a ZL1 cam. Any idea?

What is a “2nd design” cam? I am building a correct ZL1 for a 69 Camaro tribute project.

The and design cam is the 180. The 5535 was the first design used with the early heads.

The (2) NOS 2959180 ZL-1 cams I had both had 9181 on the end as well.

Yea, I am guessing this is an L88 cam that was written with the wrong part number. The guy is going to measure the lobes to see what the measurements come out to.
