I'm just waiting for Lee to measure up the length and then I'm ordering one of his.

This is the plan.

Had one on my 70 chevelle. It was a really light weight lift off and I think it was also a moroso hood. Wish I still had it. Got lost in a move somehow.

As an aside, I have taken an existing "lift off" hood and converted it to "bolt on".

I had a previous flat fiberglass bolt on hood on my Chevelle, and went to the lift off to save some weight (steel hood = 80 lbs; bolt on flat hood = 40 lbs; lift off = 20 lbs).

I retained the hood hinges and then added a spacer/adapter (square aluminum tube in my case), and then Dzus'd the lift off hood to these adapters. That way if I'm alone, or for most of my usage, I simply lift the hood on the hinges normally. If the going gets tough then I undo the four Dzus fasteners holding the hood to the hinges and set it aside.

FWIW - in case you can tolerate the visual aspect. Or - you could certainly create an adapter that is visually less crude.

It's also "backwards compatible" in case I want to revert back to one of the earlier hoods.

I recently picked up an NOS Moroso lightweight hood for a first Gen Camaro. It has a 7” high scoop. The part number is 7929. It’s really kewl…..I have it on display in my garage.

I had a lot of people on Facebook comment on it!!!

I'd like to find one of these too. I had a tunnel ram on my car for about a month, but I couldn't find a hood, so I took the TR off and went back to the single 850. Speedway has this one. I wonder how close it is to the Moroso hood scoop. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Pro-S...x-7,39242.html
