Another productive weekend! Trunk, Core support, front valance and core support panels all painted and cleared. You can really see the difference in the color with the clear and satin clear on front valance panel. The clear is split, back behind grill gloss in front of grill satin. Hopefully some outside panels next weekend.

Lots of hurtles with this one. I painted the black base late Saturday and figured I would let it set overnight with having to tape on it. I had my sides all laid out I throw the lace panel on the roof and in the dead center one of the Diamonds is ripped and torn. So I called my better half. We assessed the situation and cut the diamond out and re-glued another diamond from a spare piece of lace back onto the panel. Not knowing if the reducer would react with the glue I rolled the dice. I thought I had the lace panel tight enough and I was far enough away with the gun but the panel rippled. My wives eyes were the size of quarters when I looked at her. I just ran with it because there was no turning back now. In the end it all worked out and everything was fine. We were both very surprised when we lifted the lace panel off.
As you can see here the lace is black with the hole or rip. The other picture is the diamond we cut out of the lace panel I used for my test panel.

Love the gold and the old school lace painting. This is going to be epic when it's done.
