I always was under the impression they lined up the body and frame via the two sets of corresponding alignment holes in the body/frame not the actual body mounts

That Red line caught my eye also.

Lots of other stuff in this Monte Carlo photo.
Frame ID paper sticker.
Exhaust resonator.
Guy in pit up front smoking. Hilarious.
Another guy in pit at rear with alignment pin for body drop.

Here is a body drop of a ‘66 GTO.
Another resonator.
This car has Rally I wheels so those brake drums should be painted Red.
The “C” is backwards.
