This Hugger Orange 69 Z/28 was the pilot Z/28 in '69. It is VIN number 3 and was restored by Larry Christensen. He had lots of original GM photos of the car and it was restored just how it appeared in the photos. This car was featured in the February '21 issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines and is in their upcoming '22 calendar.

These GTO's were part of the Pontiac GTO Ram Air Invitational. This Starlight Black 65 GTO was sold new at Stupka Pontiac in Sharon PA. It is a 4 speed car with 4.33 gears and a dealer installed Ram Air setup. This car was a Gold Concours winner. F. Stewart had it at the show.

This Cameo Ivory 66 GTO was sold new at Rogers & Company in Knoxville TN. This is also a 4 speed car with 4.33 gears and a Ram Air setup. It was a Gold Concours winner. T. Stutzman had it at the show.

Is this a true "XS" car? Or something similar to the '65 above?

This is a true XS code factory built car. There was a copy of the PHS documents with the car. I believe there were around 110 of these cars produced in '66 and this is 1 of 5 that are known.

----I am curious about the black air-cleaner lids? I have never seen a set. Were they part of th RA package? I had a true RA package convert years ago (like 1975 or so) and the lids were chrome, but the car had over 100,000 miles and someone easily could have changed them!....Bill S

This shows how many engines were built. I bet the number of GTOs equipped with the engine was more than 110, though it's unknown.

This Signet Gold 67 Ram Air GTO was sold new at Art Bridges Pontiac in San Francisco CA. It is also a 4 speed car with 4.33 gears and 1 of 751 RA GTO's built in '67. It was a Gold Concours winner. B. Brunker had it at the show.

This Regimental Red 67 Ram Air GTO coupe was purchased new by Denny Kloha and he still owns it. This car was featured on the June '13 issue of Muscle Car Review. It has been a Gold Concours winner a number of times.
