Default Triple Blue '67 Firebird Sprint Convertible

The $40k ask seems like a stretch for an OHC6 car, but I would bet this one is a lot of fun on a twisty two lane road. The seller seems to suggest it has the 3-speed stick rather than the Muncie 4-speed.

Neat car. 67 Chevelle and Impala verts with a blue top had the top frame painted Nantucket blue. Did that also apply to Camaros? And Firebirds? This one's frame is black.

Agree, neat car. I don't really care for the prominent nose on the Firebirds, but otherwise, it is a very cool in that color combo.
Yes, it's a Ford 3 speed trans. It is cast iron and if it were a 4 speed it would be a Muncie. The Saginaw plant burned in that time frame and ran out of 3 speed transmissions. I had a '69 GTO with the Ford 3 speed.
Does appear to be the HO Sprint...4 barrel intake with aftermarket Holley and dual exhaust.
I agree the ask is rather strong for a 6 but as clean as it appears and in that color, he might get close. Personally, I'd be in the 25-28k range, but I'm cheap...

For years I have wanted to put FI and a turbo on one of these. Bet I can get 500 pound/feet of torque and upwards of 350 hp out of it.

Would prefer a 68. Of course, I would need to sell something first. Too many to keep up with right now.

First photo is a Restored 1964 GTO Convertible in Blue, Blue, Blue.
Blue top frame.

Second photo is a Survivor 1966 GTO Convertible in B,B,B.
Also Blue top frame.

I have heard of a Tan color top frame, but no evidence.

I really don’t understand why they did this, just make them all Black.
White convertible tops did not have White top frames, they were Black, weird.

Three speed manual.

Shown below are the two 3 speed transmissions that were offered in a 1967 GTO, which I’m certain was also offered in the ‘67 Firebird.

That blue top frame looks SOOO much better than black would. It just blends right in.

Thanks! I can only speak for Chevelles and Impalas, but yes tan tops in those cars had a Sierra Tan (Fawn) painted top frame. I own an original 65 that way.
