70 Chevelle vinyl top
I've got a 70 with a white vinyl top original to the car it's a little rough I'd like to replace it but want it to be correct I know most aftermarket ones are padded is there a company that makes one that's right or do I have to deal with the padded variety thanks

SMS is great Rich but measure the distance between the seams under the back window and tell them you want the same measurement on your new top or you'll wind up with whatever they give you. And check the new one as soon as you get it so you can send it back if it's not right.

Also make sure it's suposed to be white. In 69, it was parchment. I don't have any of the sales samples for 1970 but somebody might. If it's parchment SMS can make it. It's about twice the cost but most likely NOS material. You will need to know the grain. 69 was Levant. They're also slow. figure a couple of months....Joe

Watch the seam/joint locations between the window and trunk to make sure they match the original locations. Many are moved inboard quite a bit.
