Default Bill Jacobs Chevrolet Joliet, IL

Does anyone have any 60's license plate frames from Bill Jacobs Chevrolet? Or any other stuff from them?

I know Bill S. had a strong connection with them.

I wish I could help. Unfortunately, I do not have any 60’s license plate frames.

Tim, I have a few things from there in my collection that are not for sale, but I don't believe they used plate frames. Chicago area / northern IL dealers primarily did NOT use plate frames or metal emblems. Don't get me wrong, some did, maybe 25-30%? 90% of the dealers used trunk decals as opposed to metal emblems which makes them not plentiful due to the fact that most were stuck on cars and once the cars were gone, so was the decal. I DO have a Bill Jacobs dealer decal in my collection. Interestingly Bill Jacobs used the SAME decal for decades. They were also into "promos" or giveaways. A lot of dealers weren't. I have the dealer decal, postcards, yardstick, promo bag, patches, etc. from there.

Tim, I'm sorry, I tried posting pics but unfortunately the tech is frozen on this site to when I joined in 2002.....such a shame....

Thanks for trying. I’ve found a few things online, so I’m good. I just was after a trinket or two.

Tim, here is a few pics just for reference. I didn't post the postcards, they are online if anyone wanted to see them and the yardstick is from 1966.

Dad and his friends bought a fair amount of cars from Bill Jacobs over the years and all I recall them having are the stickers that Frank shows.
