Vintage 15x12 Aluminum Racing Wheel Identification Centerline Auto Drag?
I recently picked up this pair of 15x12 aluminum racing wheels out of an estate. I thought they were Centerline Auto Drag wheels and posted them on EBay last night as such. However, the more I look at them, I think they may be something else. Possibly Cragar Super Tricks? These wheels are bolte together rather than riveted and have 15 bolts holding the 2 halves together. Does anyone have an idea of what they could be?
Thanks, Jason Last edited by SuperNovaSS; 02-26-2021 at 06:17 PM. |

They look to be early Cragar Super Tricks. Sammy would know for sure but I recall the early Cragars had that specific bolt count if my memory serves me correctly.

Thanks guys. The specific blt pattern vs double drilled was what was throwing me as well as the Center Line caps. Looking at pics online, it looks like the early ones were specifically drilled as you said Graeme.
I just updated the listing. For anyone interested, here it is: https://www.ebay.com/itm/373475484449 Thanks again, Jason Last edited by SuperNovaSS; 02-26-2021 at 07:06 PM. |

Those are not factory Cragar Supertrick bolts and nuts. Could be Monocoque wheels with a Centerline cap.

The early Cragar super tricks were single pattern.
If it’s any help Jason the Cragar push through caps is approx. 3 3/16” outside diameter. |

Centerline wheels are riveted together, not bolted. I was also thinking that they may be Monocoque wheels.

Centerlines are 28 per wheel.

I also believe that they are Monocoques.

I've never seen those set screws on the back side on supertricks before?
