**THIS VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY SELLING LIVE ON A BRING-A-TRAILER ONLINE AUCTION. THE AUCTION ENDS ON TUESDAY FEBRUARY 8TH @ 4:10PM EST. IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN PURCHASING PLEASE REGISTER WITH BRING-A-TRAILER DIRECTLY. IT'S A QUICK AND SIMPLE PROCESS. PLEASE CALL WITH ANY QUESTIONS. GOOD LUCK!**

This rare 1972 Buick Skylark Sunroof Coupe has been tastefully customized with many upgrades throughout. It was the product of a frame off nut and bolt restoration. It’s in show quality condition throughout. From the information gathered the body retains all the original sheet metal and is very straight. A GS 455 Ram Air hood, GSX front chin spoiler and GS 455 rear spoiler was added. It sports beautiful red paint with a white rollback sunroof top. All of the glass is new throughout. The car has a great stance on 18” US Mag 10-spoke wheels with Nitto NT555 G2 tires. The black, white and red interior is equally as beautiful. Some interior features include a new cluster including RPM gauge, tilt steering wheel, air conditioning, Retrosound system and custom bucket seats. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with many upgrades. It’s powered by a rebuilt 455/350HP V8 with Stage 1 cam and functional Ram Air system. The engine breathes through a custom dual exhaust system with Pypes mufflers and electric cut outs. It’s equipped with an aluminum radiator and a CPP quick ratio power steering box. The Turbo 400 automatic and 10-bolt Eaton Tru-Trac POSI rear end with 3.42 gears was rebuilt. The undercarriage is nicely detailed with many upgrades. It’s equipped with Ride Tech suspension with coilover shocks and Strong Arm tubular control arms. It’s also equipped with Wilwood power four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. This isn’t your grandmothers Buick. Dare to compare!

As quoted from: By Matt Litwin from November 2016 issue of Hemmings Motor News:

“How much over book would you be willing to pay to obtain a truly rare car from the early Seventies? While some may find it hard to group "rare," "car," and "Seventies," into the same sentence, history has proven these three words can, in fact, commingle. As proof, we present this 1972 Buick Skylark Sun Coupe that we spotted for sale deep within one of the swap meet fields at the annual AACA Eastern Fall Meet, better known as Hershey, last fall.

Available as a trim option only in conjunction with the Skylark 350 Sport Coupe sub-series, the one-year-only Sun Coupe provided golden corresponding emblems on each C-pillar and a manually operated folding vinyl sunroof, along with the availability of bright red or gold carpeting "dependent on interior trim color and combination." The seemingly meager upgrade didn't mandate limitations: All other Skylark 350 Sport Coupe features were included, such as the two-barrel 350 engine, three-speed manual transmission, bench seat, hand-crank windows, etc. Options included a four-barrel version of the 350, an automatic transmission or four-speed manual, bucket seats, choice of console, radio, air conditioning, five-spoke road wheels and more.

Of the three-line items that the Sun Coupe upgrade provided, the manual sunroof was also available as a stand-alone option on the base Skylark, Skylark 350, Skylark Custom and the Skylark-based GS. Which might explain why the Sun Coupe, with its gold script and special carpet, is rarely seen today.
Just how rare is it? Buick didn't keep a detailed record, further confirmed by inquiries to the Buick Heritage Alliance. Conversely, a few "unofficial" sources list an array of production
numbers: 3,943, 3,923, or 3,450 units; however, research among some well-versed Buick restorers and specialists has concluded that the Sun Coupe's production numbers fell somewhere between 1,600 and 1,800 units.”

**PLEASE CALL MS CLASSIC CARS OWNER MARC SCHILIRO FOR A VERY ACCURATE VERBAL DESCRIPTION OF THIS VEHICLE**

***MS CLASSIC CARS only purchases number one and number two condition classic vehicles. We service and detail every vehicle unlike most classic vehicles that are currently being advertised for sale. MS CLASSIC CARS invested a total of $ 16,937.75 servicing and detailing this vehicle in 2021. Since that service was completed, the vehicle has been driven less than 400 miles. This is documented with invoices pictured below. We’re the only classic car dealership in the country that does this. Please understand every vehicle needs something. Some vehicles just need a lot more than others. At MS CLASSIC CARS we take eliminate the surprises. We’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking. ***
