Default '70 Z/28, Rough-ish Project, $4999

I don't believe there's any money to be made on this one, but I'm thinking this might be a perfect father/son project for an amazing 'starter car.' Original white car with black stripes - a pretty sharp combo- and while the engine isn't original, it already has some trick stuff like 292 angle-plug heads. I dig it, especially for the opening $4999 bid - seen way worse for more $.

I remember when it was such a big deal to have the “292 Turbo Angle-Plug” cylinder heads. All the fast guys had them while I was slummin’ it with my 461/462’s.

Hmm, from what I can see in the picture of the engine, the heads look to have double humps like 186 or 492 heads. The 292 heads have a single hump. Looks like a nice project for cheap money.

I inquired when this car was listed for 7500 on Craigslist, there is No 12 bolt and refused to send any pics, said to many people were interested and was going to be sold in a day "that was 3 weeks" ago.

I'm looking for a father / son 2nd gen builder, but from the looks of that one I'd suspect it has deep seated rust just about everywhere.

Overall condition of this car reminds me of the typical Z28 you could find stashed in a barn in Northern Ohio 35 years ago.
