Thanks, understandable. I'm still "performance" oriented in my thoughts and that might bias me too.

I went though the "value" thing about 5 years ago on a '66 L79 SD Acadian. Been hidden for 20+yrs. Car is honestly #3.5 so not the greatest shape and rough in places. "Supposed" to have the original motor, but in pieces and has a 350 in car now. Said it was a "go-fast car" so parts and pieces got changed? Needed resto then and not just a paint and polish. He says:

"it's rarer then the Chevy II's and there going in the 60/70K range US. I think this has gotta be worth $55,000.00 US".

I have been back maybe 3 times. Still has it, go figure. FYI there was a 66 L79 Acadian for sale last fall locally. Was asking $50,000 complete running and nice car.

I disagree. Than why are Twister Special Mustangs double the value over a similarly equipped Mach 1? Afterall, it's only an appearance package. The reason is because they're cool looking and typically are of limited production.

Appearance packages should hold a value above similarly equipped stock vehicles, but below engine transplant cars.

I agree with Mark (ZEDDER). The twister car Drag Pack cars. As well, the "lower performing cars" are Cleveland 4 bbl cars and high is Super Corbra Jets. Far more performance then a 210Hp Camaro.

So if similar 210Hp Camaro's are 25K US (about 34K CND.) then pricing at 50K CND should be fairly accurate I would think?

The Twisters came with the 351 as well. There were no performance options above and beyond any 1970 Mach 1.

A lot of variables come in play when assessing something like the Panther Camaros. Ford dealers and the Mustang were the leaders when it came to appearance package upgrades. Speaking specifically to appearance "upgrading" only, I feel it adds a 25% value above a similarly equipped model if there's paperwork and documentation to substantiate the claim.

I wish them well in the sale of the car.
