Chris, if it had been ordered with red interior, then would the stripes have been red?

Bill,

Yes, Red interior would dictate Red pinstripes on a Black body.
This would be a gorgeous car!

All the other interior trim colors received White (Ivory) pinstripes on Black body.

The most commonly known answer was the company that supplied the 14x7 wheel that used a trim ring could not keep up with demand ( possible strike). A substitute supplier was used and an all chrome wheel was available during production in Mar,April and part of May 1971. I have seen both wheels used on 1971 442 models.
