Two Ky. LS6’s
In my small rural south central Ky. town and the neighbor town east there were identical LS6 Chevelles. The light green color with black stripes n black vinyl tops and both with black interiors I think. They were around a few years before I got my license so most of this story comes from my older brother Gary been t I remember them well. He says neither guy street raced these cars like our gang did.
I know the whereabouts of one guy but not sure about the other. I’ll see Gary Christmas Eve and question him more about the green LS6’s. I’ve always wondered what happened to these cars and I’m going to start asking some old car friends from down home and see what comes about. Another car I’m tracking down is Lewis Jones 64 Thunderbolt he raced in the late 60’s. I have a pic of it. Later

There was a green ls6 in Paducah in the mid 80s , I believe it come out of Hopkinsville . Wilson Chevrolet in Paducah supposedly sold 3 ls6 cars , red , white and blue . My neighbor bought one new one then later owned one of the others but no idea where any of them ended up

I'm 99% sure there was a white LS6 convertible in Clarksville TN in the mid 80s.

----Way back in 78-9 I looked at a 70 Chevelle convert about 45 minutes to an hour south west of Louiseville. It was white with a red gut, LS5 4-speed with a black top and red gut. It also only had about 5,000 miles on it. My birddog (Gomer) failed to tell me that the car was absolutely not for sale. It also had black stripes and a sort of different version of Red Alerts fender/door stripes in black as well. Never heard of the car again.....Bill S

Clarksville is home of Ft Campbell 101st Airborne so it could have come from anywhere. |

I don't remember. I do know that I saw it in Hot Rod months earlier, and when I saw it IRL I had to go check it out.Timeframe was 83/84. I guess I should ask around about it.
