Matt
The VIN 9N614579 listed is correct for the car being auction which was sold at Friedley in Cedar Falls, IA. The old thread I put a link up may be wrong, although the VIN is listed in that thread. Cliff Ernst owned the car and sold it back to the original owner Gary Crawford.

I will remove the link to that thread until I can confirm either way.

Thanks Matt...

The story Jerry Albert related to me 20 years ago was that they found Gary's original car owned by a collector, IIRC, in Fl or GA.
A deal was made where-by Gary and Jerry purchased an equal car, even color I believe, and a lateral trade was made.
Even then I thought that was a very generous gesture by Mr Ernst. - Bill W

I do not know Gary personally, so my speculation is that since Sullivan has in the past sold farm land and possibly equipment for Crawford Farms, Gary may have a working relationship with the auctioneer. As I said, my speculation.
