The Pere Marquette 1225 was built in 1941 by the Lima Locomotive Works, and later donated to Michigan State University in 1957. I've never heard of a university with its own steam locomotive! In 1985, Van Allsburg published the Christmas book “The Polar Express,” later made into a movie with the same name, all inspired by the Pere Marquette 1225.

An ultra-rare 1970 Ford Falcon XY GT in “barn find” condition recently sold at auction for $230,000 in Sydney, Australia. Over 400 bids were placed before the hammer went down.

It’s an all-aluminum, Mercury Racing-built, GM LS7-based V-8 that uses a set of in-house-developed, four-valve DOHC cylinder heads.

I think one can buzz this engine all the way to 8,000rpm.
