Default Boss 429 engine

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hn...179656906.html

Ad reads:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Selling Boss 429 engine with origional Block and heads. motor has scat crank and rods and is 521 cubic inches. block is .030 overbore, Has origional Nascar rocker arms. Has 75 1/8 mile passes. makes 785 HP.
Block has Vin numbers stamped</div></div>

Perhaps someone here is in-the-know with the Boss'9 community and see if this engine is missing from a car.

If I owned that motor, I wouldn't have revved it over 4500 rpm either in fear of breaking something.

It might be an original but without a picture of the casting number it's just a Ford block.

Looks like someone's already posted it over on the Boss 302 registry.
This group's seems waaaay more on the ball trying to reunite drivetrain components/paperwork than we are here in the Cheby world, check out the thread titles @ this Boss site link...

&quot;429 HP&quot; is cast on the front of the block - a little hard to se in the photo. Looks like this

If the pictures I was sent are of the block for sale the casting number and the HP429 casting mark are correct for an exclusive Boss 429 engine block.

Are the numbers cast into the block at the starter area C9AE-6015-A, or C9AE-B? The first is a production block, the second is a service block.
