another "still out there"
Story for the day, buddy of mine calls me and lets me know a very elderly women is liquidating and had an old car in her backyard that has been there a long time, that car turned out to be a '64 Vette (see pics). Husband passed years ago. It was a . " I just need everything out of here.." scenario as the story went yesterday. Was gonna head out there today, but buddy called again and said don't bother. Elderly women called the local Sag Harbor radio station (supposedly this AM) (very small station) and they have a "phone in" swap and shop. "Hello everyone, I have furniture, a toaster, some clothing and an old Corvette for sale"
You can guess the ending.... wait for it.... $8k and on somebody's flatbed this afternoon. Not me unfortunately. Here's the cliché "they are still out there..." even on packed Long Island

Yes, but Long Island in general is packed. There’s very little left out here!

At least it wasn't a 63 Split, that would have left a mark...
