Default Vintage Certification @ MCACN 2022

Vintage Certification™ is again proud and excited to be a part of the MCACN experience, hard to believe it's our 13th year at this show and 23rd anniversary of Vintage Certification. By now everyone should know this is a must attend event. Come Join Us and have your car Vintage Certified at MCACN Nov 19th & 20th in Chicago

Vintage Certification™ is a judging program whose sole purpose is to recognize, provide status, provenance, and promote un-restored (survivor) vehicles. We believe it is the only program that focuses on documenting and benchmarking these cars. Our core certification team consists of Brett Merryman, Paul Martin, Lloyd Costley, Steve Minore, Chris White, Scott Tiemann, Frank Badalson, Marty Burke, Jason Billups, John Ballard, Jeff Cook, Steve Shauger and other marque specialists based on make and model. Each core team member possesses over 30 years' experience as restorers, collectors, historians and judges in the hobby. Typically, we spend 3hrs examining in detail every segment of your car including the underbody on a lift. To learn more about Vintage Certification visit our website at www.vintagecertification.com or the MCACN website at www.mcacn.com. This is the perfect venue to have your vehicle certified. You will be among and exclusive group of enthusiasts who participate in this exciting event.

We understand not every original car is 100% untouched, and we offer five levels of certification, based on the originality of the Vehicle.
Vintage Certifications™ five divisions:

Vintage Time Capsule - Vehicles that are 95+% unrestored in all reference areas
Vintage Legend - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in all reference areas.
Vintage Heritage - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in five reference areas.
Vintage Legacy - Vehicles that are 85+% unrestored in four reference areas

I got to come see that survivor 69 black L78 camaro, wow. I always get busy working on house remodeling stuff, and never can get away but this year I got to make it. Would be interesting to see how the tail panel looks and some other things to compare.

Bob do you own the 69 black rs/ss that we referenced in a thread many years ago. If I recall we could see the trunk tape line and the difference in the tail panel black versus the rest of the exterior. Look forward to seeing you at MCACN!

Yes, all the Time Capsules were great, and Doug's '69 was special, but the one that really made an impression on me was the 1981 Camaro Z28. Not only was it a capsule, it was a time transporter as well. It took me back 41 years to seeing these models introduced first hand and other than a new battery, I couldn't see any difference in that car from the day it was delivered new. It didn't even appear to have aged in storage.

Mitch the 81 Z28 had its original battery. It was not installed, but displayed behind the car. I believe the only orig item missing was the oil filter.

I know everyone loves barn finds and the red carpet displays, but the vintage cert area is worth the price of admission. Unreal lineup last week!
