Default Opinions on 1970 chevelle cowl tag

Are they faking chevelle cowl tags too now? This one doesn't look right to me. Opinions please. Thanks

Yes they are and have been for a very long time and unfortunately they are getting better. It could be the camera angle (though I doubt it) but I do not like at least 4 different numerals on that tag.

We'll check the cowl tag in this 70 Chevelle project. It's in the shop for the mounting and balancing of new tires from 4Wheelonline and the owner would take it back this week for the brake job.

Isn’t there supposed to be some sealant in the rivets?

Yes, but I have seen tags that I thought were original and the sealant was no longer there.

My '65 GTO (Pontiac Michigan build) does not have sealer on the cowl tag rivets.
