The next three drag cars were there with a group from the Chicagoland Super Stocks. Some of them used to race with the Midwest Super Stock Mafia. This 60 Impala has a naturally aspirated 632 and runs in the 8.30's. This car is known for doing big wheel stands. This car is owned and driven by Steve Scott.

This 67 Nova has a 420ci small block and runs in the 8.40's. This car also did some nice wheel stands. This was the first and only time I've ever seen this car. S. Fletcher was the owner and driver.

This Deep Amethyst Metallic 68 Dart had an aluminum Keith Black 572ci Hemi and was running in the 8.90's. It was featured in the November '01 issue of Mopar Collector's Guide. It was also in the 68 Hemi Super Stock Invitational at MCACN in '18. It's not one of the original factory cars. D. Edelstein owns this car.

This 79 Monte Carlo has a small block and runs mid 9's. You don't see many of these late 70's early 80's Monte Carlos around anymore.

These pictures are from the '19 Super Chevy Show at Route 66 Dragway in Joliet IL. This was the last Super Chevy Show I went to and the last time I was at Route 66. I hadn't been there in 10 years and from what I've heard both the dragstrip and speedway are being sold and torn down. Anyway this event wasn't very well attended. There were maybe 100 show cars and not many more race cars. It was nothing like the events from '98 to '09. This 38 Chevy pickup won the Best Early Chevy award. It was owned by J. Wicencyjusz.

This 55 210 has a 427ci LSX engine producing over 1,300 horsepower. It was at MCACN in '18 and was a Blue Ribbon Modified winner. I believe it was built by US12 Speed & Custom. It was owned by D. Hoover.

This 63 Nova SS convertible was powered by a 350ci small block topped with a Demon carb. For whatever reason Nova convertibles were only built in '62 & '63. The owner of this car was L. Couwenhoven.
