'70 Yenko Deuce Nova for sale in Hemmings
To All:
There is a Cortez Silver Yenko Deuce Nova advertised for sale in Hemmings Motor News for the month of July. The ad says something to the effect of 'documented by the Yenko Deuce Registry'. For the record, I have not, and do not document cars. To my knowledge, only Vince Emme and Ed Cunneen issue certificates of authenticity for the Yenko Deuce Novas. What the ad is referring to is a short description of this car that I provided on my letterhead several years ago to a prior owner for car show purposes. It simply states the color, how many were made, how many remain, and what dealership it was originally sold out of. My description contained no reference to this particular car's authenticity or it's correctness/condition. Although I have known about this car for some time, and have spoken to prior owners including the original owner, I have never seen this car and therefore could not possibly vouch for it's correctness. I will attempt to attach below my original descriptive document to this post. Regards, Marlin R. Spotts Jr. Yenko Deuce Registry David Rosell 11245 8 Street East P.O. Box 503 Treasure Island , FL 33706 Hatboro, PA 19040 August 12, 1998 Dear Dave: In regard to your Yenko Deuce Nova: According to the research that I have completed thus far, there were 175 COPO #9010 / #9737 Novas produced for Yenko Chevrolet in 1970, of which approximately 25-29 were Cortez Silver. Your car was the 13th car produced. As of the above date, your car is one of 5 Cortez Silver, four-speed, Yenko Deuce Novas existing, and is one of 3 that are restored. Your car was delivered to Yenko Chevrolet approximately June 10, 1970 in accordance with Chevy Order # QLL405. Kidder Chevrolet in Sioux City, Iowa was a member of the ŒYenko Super Carà dealer network, and received this car October 7, 1970 from Yenko Chevrolet. Your car is Yenko Stock #122. Sincerely, Marlin R. Spotts Jr. Yenko Deuce Registry

Re: '70 Yenko Deuce Nova for sale in Hemmings
Joe:
Thanks for the link, This car was just recently up for auction in Belvidere, IL, and was originally sold out of Wallace Chev, Linden, NJ. It is one of 4 Yenko Deuce Novas found so far from Wallace Chev, and is one of possibly 6 delivered to them. Wallace Chev. is known for having emblems stolen off of these cars while they were on the lot. This car is one of 16 Cranberry Red cars located to date, 13 4-speeds and 3 automatics. Red has been a hot color lately, 4 have recently changed hands! Thanks, Marlin

I have not issued certificates on either of these Deuces, but the VIN's are authentic.
