Bill: it appears to me they took this tire from Coker and somehow dyed the white stripes red. It is cool looking.



It looks like they were standard on the 1966 Riviera:

Or probably a custom application from Diamond Back Classics.

Unknown if it's a real L72 Impala Convertible. You be the judge. Does that rub strip look too high? Don't they put them right on the Belt Line of the car?

A friend of mine's father (and him) were big Riviera guys - had one of every year from 63-73 at one time. Those 67's have a "drum style" speedometer. It was fun doing hole shots in high school to see how fast we could get the drum spinning
I think all of them have since been sold off except my friend still has a 73 GS Stage I car.

On September 30th 1966 the Mercury Cougar goes on sale for the first time. The wire wheel covers are 66 versions as no more spinners allowed beginning 1967 model year.
