In 1968 Carroll Shelby opened the Sky Terrace motel and restaurant at the southern Basin of Lake Tahoe. Located near a popular ski resort it featured a heated pool, free cable TV and a bar called the Snake Pit.

Shelby also owned a cabin on the shores of Lake Tahoe, he sometimes piloted a Cessna from Texas, and he also opened the Lake Tahoe Basin’s first Ford dealership.

The Homer Hadley Bridge is part of I-90 crossing Lake Washington near Seattle. This is a floating bridge BTW. The only one (??) part of the USA interstate system.

There’s nothing quite like “Lake Tahoe”.
All shores on the California and Nevada side are unbelievably beautiful.

I see a couple Mustangs, of coarse and looks like Heavenly Valley ski resort in the background.
