How much does cost to 'fill up' with 15 minutes on the fast charger? I'm guessing under $10, including a Big Gulp and hotdog...

----Just read Car and Driver's road test on the Lucid. Very, very impressive. The engineers and designers seem to have put a lot more thought into their car than Tesla. I think they are ahead of the curve!.....Bill S

So could work out to $50-100 a month depending on usage?

Impressive differential trans, power, control unit all in 1 unit making 670 HP x2 all in 1 small package you can hold in your hands. Looks like they came along way, imagine in the next 3-5 years. On aside note (At 4:58 minute mark of video.) looks like he drove by L A,s Disney hall building ( where there ended being a problem when drivers were blinded by the sun). I remember hearing they had to sand most of the metal or bronze on the building to a dull gloss.

Great video, love the rear tag!! (Tesla 2.0)
Makes sense to improve on what works (Lucid),and not throw it all, just to be different (Tesla). I get it now! - Bill W

I'm like alot of you that thought electric cars are stupid but after a few weeks of driving these two I am convinced that I really really prefer them over gas or diesel. Musk has stated he is going to build a nationwide network of stations similar to the Buckees with a boatload of really fast chargers. You plug in and go inside to get whatever it is you want and in a few minutes you are charged. I'm convinced that these things are so good it will drive advancements in batteries, charging etc. I just wasted over two hours at the Porsche dealer getting it's first service. Driving it home I was thinking how much better the Lucid drove. I have made the decision to sell my Raptor and probably the Porsche. You guys know I'm a car guy. This is the next level in advancement. Musk is saying he will Have a Tesla 2 door sports car that will run 7's in the 1/4, go 250 mph and get 500 miles to a charge. Maybe we end up with enough electric cars and trucks that the cost of oil drops and gas will get cheaper. Competition is always good. That 670 hp unit that the guy is holding in the video is basically engine, trans and rear all rolled into one.

Charley, I feel the same way. The infrastructure definitely needs to catch up. Today's EVs are low-compromise, but infrastructure improvements and improving battery technology will help close the gap to ICE.

Full disclosure...EV development is also what I do to earn a living.

My only desire is that gasoline continues to be available to enjoy my old cars. I have zero desire to convert a muscle era car to electric.
