Default voltage regulator rebuild

sense I cant work the search function on here.
is anyone rebuilding voltage regulators?

Or you can install a vintage cover on a parts store electronic replacement. That's what I did, and only your hairdresser will know.

As stated above, the "Wells" electronic one is the way to go for reliability. My battery was getting overcharged and puking a bit. Bought a $25 electronic regulator, swapped my original cover over to it, and all is right again. Will have my oem, date coded original unit rebuilt and would be a 10 min swap out if needed. I'm sure somebody will figure out how to put the new electronic guts into a date coded oem unit. That would be the cats meow for cars that get driven a lot

I reached out to Joe. He responded promptly, although he does not restore regulators.

Anyone else that restores regulators?

Nobody is really looking at dates on a regulator unless it is for show. Even at most shows people do not look at the dates on them. I am with Sully and Gary. Gotta be driveable!
