Default 1969 Z28 L70 Smokey 3 2'S

NEWBIE HERE After 5 1/2 Years Picked up a 69 Z28
This car has been hidden in a back yard 5 blocks from my house it has sat under a tree with car cover since 1984 Purchased in early 70'S by Larry Schreib Author of many High Performance Books including Smokey Yunick & Bill Grumpy Jenkins The story on the 302 engine would take a hour to tell. Gale Banks Engineering, Smokey Yunick, Hank The Crank Larry knew all the heavy hitters in the industry. If you think a Cross Ram Z28 is rare check out the L70 Experimental SBC 3x2 Intake setup developed by Smokey Yunick only 3 ever known to exist and this is one of them on this car. Larry purchased the manifold from Smokey when they wrote the book Power Secrets the intake is in the book. Other additions Larry made to this Z28 Was a Doug Nash 5 Speed and full Recaro Interior This car received it's first wash job in 37 years The leaves and spiders and rat poop filled the driveway! Stay tuned on progress Bill / Solo Speed Shop

Great find and buy. Nice Z for sure. Smokey was one of the best with Chevy performance.

Exciting score, Bill. Congratulations. Is this a factory black Z? Curious what the cowl tag shows.

Nothing wrong with Cortez Silver and black stripes either. Are you planning to repaint the car back to silver, or leave it as found?
