I was waiting for the part where he gave the excess over-charges back to the lady.... Some people never change.  Hopefully you got a reasonable deal. If you had to pay a "little" more to get back a car you intend to keep forever -- Who cares, go for it. With these old cars, you never pay too much, you just buy them too soon.

Wow, using a thread of a fellow member who asked for advice on making an emotional purchase for his own personal vendetta...pathetic
 I wont justify Jeffs maliciuos attack with a response. On a more positive note. Post up those photos when you get the car settled at home. You can count on MOST of us for positive input and mature advice

On the positive input side (and hopefully this thread will stay on topic) - You are really right. In my experiance there are some cars out there that people really have a hard time selling. Sometimes buying a special car can be frustrating too. You cannot get too emotionally attached however but some people do anyway. Sometimes these cars become another member of the family, so they are hard to buy and hard for the owners to part with. It is the memories they provide for us that will make or break a special car.
