Default Thoughts on this car, real?

Not real clear on the 68 Z's but this is near me and attainable.

Cool color combo, British Green with a white vinyl top. I believe the tach should redline at 6000 though.

Rear is not original I think. No traction bar ( I think it is supposed to have one?) and the car is on 4 flats so I could not get under to see. It is a 12bolt though.

No traction bar on 68. Should be 6K redline. Muncie hole is a correct clue and TP sticker but are frame stands same height? Non original shifter though,
Would have had a muncie one. Jeff

Says E70x15 tires and that sticker looks original.

is this an old drag car ?
I see cragar / centerline wheels on the front.
4 flats,, you can still see if its a 12 bolt or Dana.
Should have 4 leafs , if changed ,it probably has mono leafs for racing.
It does have the oil pressure line through the firewall but its pieced together and hanging on the booster.
They are right, it should have a 6k tach

Not so much an old drag car as an old street racer car. Car is on 4 flats on a trailer, no major rust and nothing cut out of the car (ie firewall, qtrs., etc). One fender looks like it was changed somewhere in the past and one looks original. Has a 12 bolt, but I could not get far enough under the car to see the top of the axle tube to get a code, and since I thought that the 68's had the traction bar I just figured it was not the original rear. It does have the 4 leaf springs (forgot to snap a pic of that).
Nothing original as far as engine/tranny or parts such as carb, exhaust manifolds etc.

I can get this car and a old beat up 68 drag car (it was cut up) and 1/2 a horse trailer of old parts (some for the 68's and some "race" parts) for $9,500.00

That sounds like an ok price especially if there are some of those rare tire valve caps in the trailer.

The original fender will have factory punched holes for emblems, 350 emblems different than Z28 emblem holes. Also look in the firewall cowl area for evidence of white paint.

While I have never seen a Z28 with 14" tire sticker, I have seen non Z28s with 15" wheel sticker.........just my hands on experience.
