Default 67 Fender Clips

When my 67 Camaro was disassembled somewhere around 1978, the original owner bagged and tagged all of the parts. Three of these bags were marked “right fender” and “left fender” and “front grille and core support. They appear to be original as they all had equal amounts of rust. My question is since they look different but use the same size and thread bolt, is this a case of same usage but two different suppliers or specific usages for each? Between the three bags, there are 6 of each type.

Thanks

Paul

I know of a 12k unrestored original 69 L78 Camaro that has exactly what you're decribing. Doesn't mean they're all that way but his was. Several suppliers..Joe

My 67 7B L78 has only hex nuts clips. Obviously they had second and third sources for hardware. I have notice the square nut clips used on 69 camaros. Is the front sheet metal original on your car?

As far as I know the sheet metal is original. Both fenders are stamped week 25. For reference my car is a 6E.
