Default 1968 chevelle interior

kinda new to chevelles working on a 68 ss chevelle it has a buick style interior in it my question is what style buick do I order bucket & rear covers & door panels for the car

great thanks , what was the deal with them putting buick stuff in the cars the trim tag is coded for the chevelle interior

The Labor Strike of 1968.....a few Thousands of 1968 CHevelles received the Buick Interiors.

Your gosh darn right it does. Even though my 68 isnt trim coded for Buick I should have used it.

I have not seen this car yet will the trim tag show a code for a black bucket seat buick interior or a chevy code

I think I recall seeing posts saying that tags on these cars showed both the Chevelle code and the Buick code (or Olds or Pontiac, as applicable). That's consistent with what is shown in the list on the ChevelleStuff site: http://chevellestuff.net/1968/interiors/index.htm

My '68 SS 396 was ordered in late December '67 and took until mid May '68 to show up due to the strike that year.
Unfortunately it wasn't one of those that got fitted with a Buick interior as shown - that is nice, no doubt!
