A rare type of pine tree in Great Basin National Park can live for more than four millennia. The oldest living one in the park is named Methuselah and has racked up 4,765 years on this planet.

The world's largest tree can be found at Sequoia National Park. General Sherman rises above the forest floor to reach 275 feet in height and is 36 feet in diameter at its base.
