Default New Project Excitement

Went with a friend yesterday to look at a 1970 Chevelle Project. It is an Oshawa built car. The GM of Canada documentation comes with it. The L34 engine is the only original part of the drivetrain but is the most important. The chassis has been done but will be done over again a little better. It has A51, D55, M40 on the cowl tag, red with black interior. The SS wheels are a mixture of YA and AO. I have some AOs that I don't need so we are going to swap. The car has a cowl induction hood too. Years ago he had a '70 Malibu and later a '68 SS396 convertible that I too had owned. He has a nice '40s Ford street rod that he built. He is a talented guy and even has his own paint booth, so I am sure the Chevelle will turn out looking like new. I think we were like a couple of kids getting a new toy. In fact, we are just a couple of old kids at heart. We're picking up the car this coming weekend, all things going as planned. One more car coming back from one foot in the grave.

Sounds good Keith. I've owned my '70 L34 car for 15 years now.

I just thought it was neat to see how excited a fifty year old car guy could still be at getting another car on the go. When it's in your blood, it's in your blood. Guess we're just old kids now.
