I drive across Pennfield Ridge half a dozen times every summer on the way up to PEI. Always look at that strip where they dry Sea kelp today and think "what a wicked drag strip that would have been"! Wished I'd been there back in the day but, then, I never would have gotten any further North (PE).
Great shots!!
Rick

Do you live in Manchester Rick? I get down to NH 3 or 4 times a year, my brother lives in Fremont, and has a 68 SS396 Camaro, as well as a 69 Malibu that he runs at Epping. (Are you going to the New England Nationals this year?)
And now for a couple of more shots:

Recently found this picture, after talking to some guys from home that confirmed it to be one of the 10 or so Ewing Chevrolet 69 COPO Camaro's form Canton Ohio. You can just make out "Ewing" on the quarter panel. "Mohler and Moor" on the door.

My friend's pro stocker from the mid 70's. This was an original COPO car.

His A and B/MP record holding 67 Camaro. He ran it using the engines from the pro stocker. It is an original L-78 RS with under 20K miles on it. He still owns it today. He had it backhalfed in the late 70's but it has every bit of the born with sheet metal and interior except the hood is set aside with a hood scoop grafted to it. It still has the paint from back then on it,and it shines like new.

Now. He has an LS-6 crate motor and th400 in it and he set the Super Tricks and slicks aside so he can drive it to cruise nights. Unfortunatly health issues including being nearly blind, prevent him from driving it,so his on drives him around in it.

Grumpy's 68 pro stocker after he sold it to Heavy.

Grump's 70 in 1977 when Dennis Ferrara owned it.
