Default General Lee Jump to open Autorama

Not sure if anyone saw what they did to open the Detroit Autorama or how anyone feels about it. Judging from the videos and some of the still shots it looked pretty epic. P.S They stated that car was a junker

Ugh, junker or not, I'm tired of them destroying the old Chargers.

I was there, but I didn't watch the jump. I just couldn't.

Default General Lee Jump to open Autorama

'

Footage from a few angles @ below link.
Unless on purpose, could a smoother ramp and angle have avoided the almost forward roll over and/or hard landing?

Yeah it looked like it took a really funky bounce when it went airborne ... I bet the drivers back paid the price for that landing

There have been pictures all over FB on this. The car was / is total junk. Absolute crap, nothing wasted here but Bondo and paint. The before pics confirm this. From what I've read from the driver, the landing was textbook. A nose down angled landing took most of the potential damage off the driver. Energy was lost thru the crumpled front and saves the back injuries. Crazy stuff....
