Default 1968 Camaro RS/SS L78 on BaT

1968 Camaro RS/SS 396 L78 on BaT:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...rs-ss-396-l78/

Might be a perfect example to take to the Camaro 2022 Nationals this year in Morgantown, PA (July 14-16).
Just sayin....

Very poor job of trying to simulate the factory broach marks. Lots of aftermarket parts.
Not a high level resto IMO.

Somebody failed arts and crafts class on those "broach marks"! Looks like done with a finger nail file, LOL !

Feel free to have your say on BaT that things don't appear to be correct. I assumed the seller is right that it's matching numbers, but maybe not? I suppose if he re-decked the block he should have made it clear that the stamping is NOT original.

I asked for particulars on the L78 rebuild but he has not responded with anything. Maybe he doesn't know. Typical Dealer Seller?

It could still be a nice buy for someone.....just don't over pay right?

I look at the gauge installation. I can only assume the rest of the car was assembled with the same eye for detail

Agreed! The interior actually looks nice except for the gauges with exposed wires....sloppy for sure. On a factory correct looking car I wouldn't install any aftermarket gauges personally. I am a bit surprised nobody appears to like the car, even a tiny bit? I don't think it's all that bad & I can be very picky!....any Camaro with an L78 396 in there would be a prize in my book! But info on the engine build needs to come out, or seller will be unsuccessful with the sale! I will watch it & see what happens.

Usually most on here are not much into made up cars, as this one appears to be.

Well there is a blue ‘69 Camaro 396 on BaT now and honestly it looks way better! I don’t know if it’s an L78 but it has similar power and the start up video sounds sweet!
