That actually would have been 1966 with about 96,000 cars out the door. I believe in '65 they sold about 72,000 cars

I was speaking of “Popular” as in most liked (1965) from multiple surveys taken the past 40+ years in the GTO world. As for Production, totals below. ‘64 - 32,405 ‘65 - 75,352 ‘66 - 96,946 ‘67 - 81,722 Last edited by 60sStuff; 07-17-2021 at 03:17 AM. |

They made these Pontiacs look sexier than they ever were, and they were already sexy. Love Pontiac art!.......bill s

1965 Sport Coupe (post).
8319 produced. Rare color combination. Black exterior with Red pinstripe. Red interior. The ‘65 Red interior would have a Parchment headliner. Period STP sticker. Aftermarket exterior mirror. |

MY buddy from highschool standing on the door of the 70 Judge convertible his dad bought in the mid-70's. Car is still owned by him, I painted 20+ years ago. When we were in highschool we would push it out of the garage in the middle of the night and go street racing - factory 4.33 gears so it's at redline about 90 MPH.
