Stinger hood opinions
This hood came off a 68 427 car. I have a strong feeling that this is a 68 hood or at least a very early piece as it is not made using matting, but rather chopper gun. It has a crude’er looking inner structure with gaps at each direction change rather than the continuous non segmented structure seen on other hoods. Lastly, the humps where hinge bolts up are small opposed to the rectangular slender pads seen on other hoods. These are my observations. This hood also had evidence that it had the chrome insert in opening used on Vette. Now, looking for members that know these hoods and their assessment to what it is. Thanks sYc.

First, the hood has a scoop from the year of 1967. Second, the fiberglass on the underside of the hood is not press-molded. All factory hoods were press molded.

It’s identical to mine but your underside is a little rougher than mine. I think these hoods were made by Harwood as per info I’ve received here on the site of a hood sold by RobR couple or three years ago.
I’ll post up some pics of mine later.
