Here are a couple of muscle cars from the Super Chevy Show at Norwalk OH in 2009.

The Rogers' 57 Bel Air conv. with a dual quad 283.

The McCracken's 66 Biscayne L72. This was an original owner car with 19K miles and has it's original drivetrain. It was a race car early in it's life and had just recently been restored.

This is J. Duer's 67 L79 Chevy II. It is documented and I believe it has it's original drivetrain. It was a gold class car and has been to MCACN several times. It was featured in the March 2010 issue of Musclecar Enthusiast. This is 1 of 2 known 67 L79 Chevy II's that are documented. They were both built in June of 1967. The other is Grenada Gold with a black vinyl top. It is owned by a collector in the Phoenix area and was being restored the last I knew. R. Hoeft also has a 67 L79 Chevy II that I believe is legit. However, his was built early in the 67 model year and has the 350 horse version of the L79 like the 66's had. His car was at MCACN this past year and there were some photos of it recently in Muscle Car Review with some of the other cars in his collection.

Thanks for all the pic's.

Jack Duer's 67 L79 Chevy II is possibly the best restored car I have ever seen. All NOS or OE stuff. I believe it is sold now and living in AZ.

I'm glad you guys enjoy them. I thought Jack had sold his Chevy II, but I didn't remember the details. Definately one of the best restorations I have seen.

Here are a few modified cars from the same event.

The Mitchell's 57 Bel Air was a Gold Class car. The color is Sunset Pearlescent Orange and it has a 572 putting out close to 700 horsepower.

The Hutton's 59 El Camino. You don't see many of these around. This one has a supercharged small block and won Best El Camino of the show.

The Turner's 60 Corvette. Unfortunately I don't had a shot of it's engine. It had a 383 with I believe a Kinsler intake. Instead of having 4 side draft Weber carbs it was fitted with EFI. It won Best Corvette of the show.

The Higgins' 64 El Camino. It had a small block with EFI. It won Best Pro Street Truck.

F. Armon's 70 Opel GT with a supercharged small block. This is quite the little pocket rocket. There used to be a number of these back when Pro Street was popular, but I don't know if I ever saw any as nice as this one.

Jack Stone's 72 Impala with a 434 small block on NOS putting out over 900 horse power. Jack owns First Choice Auto Body in Elkhart, IN and is one of the best paint and body guys in the area. He has painted atleast 6 Gold Class cars and has one of the nicest 69 Chevelle Pro Street cars I have ever seen. It was just featured on the January 2015 issue of RPM Magazine. I haven't taken any pictures of it yet but if you follow the link you can find it on page 56 of the January issue. Jack Stone's 69 Chevelle

Here are a few race cars from the same event.

M. Carlyle's 07 Corvette Z06 with a twin turbo LS based 434 that ran high 8's.

M. Standley's 7 second 60 Impala. It had a 632 with a bunch of NOS and was backed by a Lenco. It's a pretty cool car.

Wild 64 Malibu SS with a big block and twin Dominators with NOS. It looked fast, but I never saw it make a pass.

R. Sparks 64 Malibu post had a big block and ran mid 9's.

J. Scaccia's 66 Chevy II had a big block with twin Dominators and NOS and ran high 7's.

Nice 67 Camaro with a big block ran low 9's.

67 Chevy II post car with a small block ran mid 9's.

This 69 Camaro with a 598 ran low 9's.

Clean 80 Monte Carlo with a small block ran low 10's. You don't see many of these anymore.

The Hunsaker's 66 Chevelle SS with an L35 and a powerglide. This is the only Mist Blue 66 Chevelle that I have ever seen. It was the runner up in the Chevelle stock class at this event.

The Robison's 66 Chevelle SS with an L35 and a 4 speed. This one is another seldomly seen color Cameo Beige. It was the winner in the Chevelle stock class and also won the Award of Excellence at this show.
