'65 GTO #s 389-6bbl/4-sp, AM/FM, Original CA Car
Cool project, but shows that even a lifelong California car (sold new in San Diego, currently being sold in Riverside) can rust fairly extensively.
Still, this one was ordered with a very cool suite of options and would serve as a choice project car for the right person. Link to 1965 Tri Power GTO auction 237375Z121055 |

First year for smog on a California “sold new” GTO was 1966.
This Fremont built 3x2 air cleaners with the pipe and hoses were used on ‘64 and ‘65 if sold new in Ca. Yes, that air cleaner set-up is rare, as there are metal fittings coming off all three bases. Option #614, the prelude to full blown smog. Hey, is that Ted Nugent?
