Default musclecar memories

Just thinking of some of the cars that were in this town.First was a copo chevelle named casper, the guy had to ask the studio permission to use that name. Also there were two factory 427biscaynes,one mickey hale owns and was ahra record holder 1971.The other car last i new was in s calif a red 4 speed car.Last was a 69 corvette baldwin motion car that was sold to a collecter in s calif. I gassed this car up many times as i worked at dad,s shell station.

In '69 three of us bought COPO Chevelles through the now defunct Beare Motors in Port Perry Ontario. They also sold one L88 Corvette in '69. Nurse Chev-Olds in Whitby Ontario sold a red 4 speed COPO Camaro. It was written off in a fatal accident in 1970. Beare Motors sold at least two LS6 Chevelles in '70. The green one stayed in the Oshawa area and the silver one went to Thunder Bay I believe. For a small dealership Beare Motors sold quite a few muscle cars in '69 and '70.

It is neat to hear personal recollections of the heyday musclecar days, I was only 2 years old in 1970 and missed everything! Any memories of ZL1 Camaros or Yenko cars?

Marlin, you are around my age, my first musclecar memory was chewing up the door panels in my Dads 70 SS Chevelle. Other than that I wish I was a few years older to see how much fun it was back then.

The dealer were i got my chevelle from sold a lot of muscle cars in 1969,it was callender chevrolet.I remember a plain 69 camaro in the lot so we stopped to look it over.
it was a copo dark green 427 engine white letter tires and small hub caps,i don,t think the car sold around here as as nobody could afford the insurance.
