Default Wild "Day Two" 1967 GTO 4 Spd-You Gotta See This!

Lots of guys are duplicating "Day Two" cars lately, but here is one that was done "back in the day", lace paint and all! Many of you may remember this car from when I rescued it a few years back. Although it may not look like it, about 500 hours of labor was spent making it a turn key car that retains its "fresh out of storage" look!

A few items of note about this very historic car:

It has been reported that Elvis bought this car new and let the Memphis Mafia paint it one night after a few too many drinks and some of the King's special "candy pills". It has been claimed that paint left over from the Jungle Room at Graceland, along with remnants of shag carpet from the same, were installed by the old boys on that fateful night. Upon seeing it in the bright light of day after they sobered up, they realized the error of their ways so tastefully modifying the King's favorite GTO and had to dispose of it. As we know, the King was of questionable taste and wouldn't have appreciated a true work of art such as this. Regrettably, I can not substansiate these rumors as Elvis is in Germany and unavailable for comment.

However, I have it on good authority that this vehicle does have ties to the Reagan administration. As it was told to me, in 1982 Nancy Reagan was looking for a vintage GTO to use for her First Lady duties outside of the White House. The former owner of this car sent Nancy a picture after seeing her wanted ad in HMN. She immediately jumped out of her chair and exclaimed "Just Say No to Drugs!!" to which Ronnie said, "Hey, Babe, that's a great slogan to use in the war on drugs!" The rest, as they say, is history as shortly thereafter Nancy launched her "Just Say No" campaign in 1982. Just think of how many young lives this historic GTO's lace paint job has saved!

Check it out for yourself here:

This car is available to continue making history for a new owner, famous, elected, or just an average Joe Plumber type

Oh, and if you rely on the rumored celebrity and presidential connections above please ask me about the package deal I am offering of this car and some ocean front property in Arizona, just in time for the January auctions! Less than 5 miles from the Pavillions as well

Kidding aside, an incredible car priced well below what I have in it due to going overboard on the drivetrain and mechanical resto! Please use the link above for a complete (factual) description of the car.

Price: $35,000; 5% discount for paid SYC members except Charley.

Interested buyers please email me: [email protected]

Thanks for looking!

Who's willing to bet Charley ends up with this car after the discrimination litigation?

Cool, if you use your Three-D glasses, you can see a message encrypted on the Deck Lid.

The semi round paint spots on the side lace are called freak dots. You blow then on with an air brush, and fan em out a little. Work best with Hendrix, Schlitz, and laquer fumes.

Oh sure Dennis - take Schonye back to the hey-day of rabble rousing liberal democrats raisin' h*ll and before you know it you two (guilt by association) would change history and it wouldn't be the Chicago Seven but the Chicago NINE with the two of you in cahoots with the likes of Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, Tom Hayden, etc. !!!!!! Be very careful what you wish for
