Actually, that's what I'm trying to get him away from!

Now, back to the Goat. I used to do that kind of paint work on motorcycles. Lace panels, string lines, acetylene smoke trails, freak drops, fish scales, ghost flames, even some murals. Crazy times then, but I'd go back to it in a minute.

That car is groovy !
The tune sticker ... Lancaster , CA ... spent a lot of time there off hyw 14 out side of LA. That is the high desert get about 115 in the shade . That is the home of the fastest track in the west ... the Willow Springs road course.

I was looking for a '66 or '67 GTO in 1981, & called on a local ad for a low mile, mint, 4-speed '67, asking price $4500.00--which was a lot at that time (I ended up getting a mint Silver '66 in Arkansas for 3k--but that's another story). My wife & I went to look at it in neighboring Maywood, IL, the Goat being owned by a Maywood policeman. It was a fantastic car, originally blue, with a killer custom paint job like this one--even had a longhorn skull painted on the hood! More scallops & flames, etc, then should have been legal. Must have been something when it was 1st done, but in 1981, let's just say it was a little too wild for me. I often wonder whatever happened to it.

I would like to express my appreciation to you, Mr. Comer, for causing me to spit my Pepsi onto my computer screen in laughter.

Oh...btw, quit picking on those AMC's, or I'll handcuff your leg to a table in the Nickey display next week.

Bob,

Pepsi? This late at night? Next weekend is when you'll be pulling the all-nighters keeping everybody happy at VF and need the Pepsi at 9pm

You know a good old Wisconsin boy like me has, what do the kids say these days, "nothin' but love" for the Kenosha Kadillacs. Heck, I've owned enough of them and my shop is across the street from the old AMC plant and attached to the old AMC executive parking lot!

Some day you NEED to get your a## up here so I can take you to the famous Valent's tavern next to my place. Litte known historic part of AMC history. Bar opened at 5am and old man Valent would trade factory workers drinks for car emblems swiped from the line. Whole place is covered in AMC emblems and my now-deceased "mentor" who worked at AMC in the late-40's-early 60's had plenty of tales of the workers going to Valents for a few quick drinks before they went to work!

Old man Valent passed away few years back but his wife and daughter still cook lunch every day for the customers. Come up on a Friday for the fish fry. I think the hot oil helps kill the germs and maybe gets rid of some of the hair in the food. Good stuff!

Now go tune up a Schwinn to ride around the show

Oh, and I have no problem getting locked to the Nickey booth. Always have a good time helping Beth gain up on Stefano

See you next Friday!!

Colin

Hey Stefano...... Did you see the message on the left 1/4 panel starting @ the door handle edge going all the way to the center line of the wheel?
