----Have reversed the decision to sell the 67 W30 so soon. The guys at Mecum were very understanding. It drives like a brand new W30, no rattles, no squeaks, nuthin! Part of the decision is the 50th anniversary at MCACN this year. Wanted to participate one more time in Bobs extravaganza! Cant wait for next November!!! It will also give me more time to dig up more history, hopefully back to day one.
----The maroon 67 race car is Sam Murray's. He helped with the build on my Olds pill. Sam knew the Woodland and Andreesen team well and I believe he crewed for them back in the day. Sam knows Olds horsepower well!.......Bill S

----Thanks, Ryan! I'm starting to look at the car a bit differently. It hung around here for so long with other more important stuff (to me anyway) to get finished that I lost interest. Think I have regained what I lost. Kind of like it,,,, a lot!........Bill S

Looking forward to seeing it at MCACN Bill. I'm sure it will be stunning like all of the others you have done.

Does this mean you will not be at Mecum Indy to buy the first round?

----Dan,,,Ill still be there selling this 67 El Camino. I need storage room! Ill PM you my cell #.

----Daverd,,, Most assuredly not. The heads used on all 67 W30s were C heads with a slight twist as they all had smog holes. The non-smog equipped W30s simply had plugs in the smog Holes. For those of us not familiar with Oldsmobile stuff, the smog pipes were plumbed into the heads, not the exhaust manifolds.......Bill S
