Im sure everyone already knew this but Walker made the mufflers for GM (hence the embossed "W". I still have one in the box. This one will go on a certain green car at some point. |

Re: Harry Mann 68 L78 / L88 Camaro
yup -- I've run a bunch of the Walker mufflers ... mostly the 21348 or commonly called Corvair turbo chargers w no tail pipes. Sweet sounding to say the least on SBC or BBC. TAZ

Re: Harry Mann 68 L78 / L88 Camaro
In the process of researching any remaining history I am not aware of, Jim Y (Astock) sent be a couple of pics and reminded me of a few tid bits I forgot about from our initial conversations.
One of the items that was discovered among all of the parts, was a perfectly dated 68 Corvette 3x2 intake and carbs. Jim felt this was the induction set up that were to be used on the HM L78 next along with the L88. Hmmmmmmmmm................. |

Re: Harry Mann 68 L78 / L88 Camaro
The headers are not in the car. That is a story in of itself. Jim Y. can tell that one if he likes. Frankly, he got the short end of the stick from a Southern California shop (who I will allow to remain anonymous) over those headers.
This car would sound stupid sick with M/T's on it |

Re: Harry Mann 68 L78 / L88 Camaro
I posted this reply (thread) in the Racing section......................
Does anyone have, or know of someone..............that has collected racing results, pictures, slides, etc. from Lions Dragstrip? In the search for the missing pieces to the puzzle on the HM L78 Camaro, we may have nailed down the name of the 2nd owner who MAY have raced the car. Having said that........(once the name is confirmed) I can then go and search for any results in programs, newspapers, newsletters, etc. While all of this is a complete shot in the dark, I figure it is at least an interesting little project. If anyone has a tip, suggestion, correction, a place to call, a place to write.................I am all ears. In advance..........thanks for your consideration. Tim |

Re: Harry Mann 68 L78 / L88 Camaro
Send me dates, months, years it was supposed to have raced at Lion's Drag Strip. Also what was the name it raced under. I'll scour through old papers on line and see if I can find anything?
