Default 1969 3909879 exhaust manifold dated early February - smog - nice condition

Hi Friends,

I have available this very nice 3909879 - 879 exhaust manifold for a 396 427 or even put it on a 454 if you like, but it's dated B 7 9 - February 7, 1969.

Nice shape and typical CA parts condition - never pitted nor heavily rusted previously - just West Coast surface oxidation / rust - IMO.

These could certainly be cleaned up easily with little effort and used as-is.

The two smog tube extensions were present when found and are finger loose but I left them in to attest to the originality of this piece - all ears accounted for, no cracks and the original down pipe studs are present and usable with good threads, no bends or other obvious issues. The smog tube threads are likely serviceable but I did not check them or chase them. The head mating surface has no pits and will likely only need a slight going over for a good seal.

This side is the hard side to locate as we all know, the 178 or 3916178 units are surprisingly much easier to locate, or at least that's been my experience.

Hard to find piece and a great date! Many photos below, take a look at this one. The best cars deserve the best parts.

800.00 PPG plus shipping and insurance if needed.

Cheers all,
Anthony

Hi Gang, I had an sYc friend PM me just now to say he noticed the front mounting ear looks like it had been snapped off and welded back on.

I didn't think I'd miss something that significant, so I checked again.

It is as described above in my original posting; all mounting tabs / ears are original and haven't been repaired.

More detailed photos of the ear in question below; this manifold is as represented.

That's another one of the great facets of this site / community; all of us watching out for each other! He wasn't bashing at all, just wanted to be sure of what I was representing for my own well being, in that I didn't have an unhappy buyer.

Thanks everyone!
Anthony

I'll always stand by my sales anyway, of course.
