Default Shadow Gray '70 Z/28, Docs

Can't figure out from the description whether the engine is original, but the seller claims the POP is with the car (and shows a snippet of the build sheet). Nice having a Van Nuys build since the build sheet is pretty commonly left in the car...

As Tony noted, Matching #'s description usually indicates Restamp but it may be the Original?
Here's an old auction for this same car w/ more pics including Engine Stampings...

Best of luck if you make a play for it!

I would start by requesting pics of the engine deck and the POP. I'd say the fellow may be a low key flipper given what cars are in the background of his pics. I feel the fellow knows what he is doing with regard to pictures. He has 24 pics available to him on eBay, but yet posts redundant pics of the partial build sheet. I myself would have posted the POP and engine deck if they are worth showing.

Sharp looking car for sure and seems to be priced right if the car is as presented. It's worth looking into, but needs some solid verification. Sorry for the skepticism........

Tim

I don't mind skepticism, that's why I asked.
I agree with you on all of your points but the pictures that Pete sent me to show the numbers if they are still on there. Would you agree?

All of the above are good comments and suggestions...especially checking out the stamp codes, etc. There's a lot I like about the car, but then there's other items that leave me scratching my head. For example, the passenger fender is a 74-77 unit and the hood hinges are from a 71 or later Camaro. Possible front end damage at some point?. The dash bezel is repop and the car should not have a front spoiler. the intake, (if the correct 110) has had a fitting drilled and tapped at the front and it appears the oil-fill blank was knocked out and blocked off with a freeze plug.

Not knocking the car...just pointing out some oddities that would be intrusive/expensive to fix if wanting it back to original...and the price appears very reasonable if the drivetrain and coded components check out.

Car is gorgeous. However, I think the restorer simply painted the wheels Shadow Grey instead of going through the work to paint them the original textured grey finish. That's also an aftermarket shifter in there (albeit a much better quality HURST than the original unit).
