Default 1970 Nova

I bought this 1970 from a friend of mine that built it over the last couple of years. I have owned it for a short while and never really driven it other than just moving it around until today. I live just outside my small town exactly 1/4 mile from the firehouse to my place. Well anyway I already liked it but today I have a new appreciation for it after driving it from my shop to home. It was a totally rust free original panel car and had the cleanest floor pans before restoration that I think I have ever seen. Stranely enough the original floor pan color was dark red oxide not black like my 70 Duece. Anyway Mosier 4:10 12 bolt rear, turbo 400 with manual valve body and Hurst auto stick shifter same as 70 Yenko Duece would have except straight handle(I will change that), Dart 565 cubic inch with aluminum heads, Hooker headers etc. Just thought I would share here you go.

Beautiful Nova! I've always loved the stinger hoods on 68-72s. I sure wish I had my 72 back after seeing this one! Thanks for sharing.

I thought the same thing about the 4 speed and almost pulled the Autogear M23 out of the blue Nova and switched them because my friend that bought the blue car actually preferred an automatic. After driving the black car today I understand why he installed the automatic, I think as light as these cars are it may have been too much of a handful with the 4 speed.

WOW! This checks all the right boxes for me. I have an M23 behind the 496 in my Camaro and IT IS a handful, so I'm sure this thing is an absolute BEAST! Very tastefully done. I love the Scorpion intake. Congratulations on this acquisition.

Super Nice. So what's it got for a converter in it? Hoping to hear it's a little one. :-)
