Re: 1970 LS/6 Chevelle with 24 original miles
I recall a '70 LS-6 at Classic Motors of Hinsdale (circa '77-'78) w/2900 miles. Thought that was low mileage. Not anymore.

Re: 1970 LS/6 Chevelle with 24 original miles
A friend of mine looked at this car in the early 90's,but it wasn't for sale.
He tried. It is absolutley what you would think it would be.Plastic still on the seats from what he showed me. It's got to be the best preserved 1970 LS-6 Chevelle in the world. Roger Ausley and Bill Bonham can't touch this car. I think the 200K asking price is in line with what this is.I wish I sold my Enron stock earlier. |

50K more then Brian's 7000 mile Yenko...It is a column shift auto. It is a time capsule, but I would rather save 50k and have some fun.

Re: 1970 LS/6 Chevelle with 24 original miles
Heard that the original smog system is missing. Find that strange that it would still have plastic covers on the seats, but someone took the time to remove the smog. Warren

Warren what are you trying to say?
You would have removed the seat covers prior to the smog set up |

Re: 1970 LS/6 Chevelle with 24 original miles
there was an ultra low mile black ls6 car with white stripes that sold on ebay for $80k a few months back. i think that was the one that roger ausley owned. i guess the barrett-jackson auction has changed values or opinions of values alot.

Re: 1970 LS/6 Chevelle with 24 original miles
I heard a little "fluffing" went on to cherry it out. I'm not knocking the car, I'm sure it is one of the nicest, that exists. Just thought I would give everyone a heads up. Hope I didn't ruin anyones fantasy that it is totally untouched.
If I was old enough to drive and could have afforded a car like that in '70, I'm sure I would have taken some pictures of the car with no seat wrappers on. I usually read more into what is not said, than what is. Warren |
