More x66 motivation gold yenko pictures. The original owner Tricky Ricky Barratt (as he was called) removed all the Yenko badges, stripes etc immediately and installed SS emblems. Love to know how many people he fooled into thinking this was a SS396 car.

Matt you have done an unbelievable job in working with all of the previous owners in gaining as many as 75 original photos thank you for the documentation and helping explain this cars history from beginning until the present. Enthusiasm of each owner has really shown and even when I bought the car from Troy you could tell that he and his lovely wife were letting go of their youth but saw it as a new beginning for their treasured car. Troy, Max, Melvin and the Barrett’s are car generation families. Thank you. Doug

I have researched a lot of cars over the years and most of time the more you dig the more frustrated you get. You deal with lack of cooperation and interest by previous owners or former owners who are just pissed they don't have there car anymore and refuse to talk or just dead ends. With this car it hasn't been easy but has been very rewarding. I have talked to God only knows how many people In my search to get the information and photos that I have found over the last 9 months or so. I hope to find more information/photos before the cars restoration is completed. Needless to say when the car is completed it will have a hell of a story and a ton of documentation to go with a first class Arone's restoration.

There was a copo camaro back in the mid 1970s that raced at atco dragway NJ called Motivation. The Mach shop that sponsored it was Called Al Fonze Racing.
I remember seeing that car on a trailer each time we went back to see the progress on my brothers 435 motor.

The Gold "Motivation" Yenko as it was called only raced under the Motivation name while in possession of Rick Barratt (original owner) until Approx 1972. The 2nd and 3rd owners raced the car in the Muncie Indiana area without a name on the car before the car headed to Iowa where the 4th owner raced the car with no name on the car. The 5th owner of the car Troy put the car back on the street.

Tom Burnell who raced with Rick Barratt also had a red white and blue 69 Camaro that raced under the "Motivation" name in the early 1970s I have no idea where that car ended up after Tom was done with the car.

Think this is that car? Same event (and photo credit) as previous post - 1970 NHRA US Nats.
